AZTEC IMPROVED OVER 0.82 MILES OF ASPHALT ROADWAY IN A REMOTE DESERT AREA NORTH OF LAS CRUCES, NEW MEXICO FOR A ROUTE JOINTLY USED BY THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA), BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT (BLM), AND NEARBY RANCHERS. OUR WORK HELPED PREVENT RAPID EROSION AND DISTRESS FROM HEAVY RAINFALL. THE SCOPE INCLUDED PAVEMENT PATCHING, PAVEMENT PRESERVATION, EMBANKMENT STABILIZATION, DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS, DITCH RECONDITIONING, AND GUARDRAIL REPLACEMENT.
